Hathaway on Glee?

Hathaway has expressed her hope to guest star on Glee (she even knows what character she'd like to play), and recently, she has said, "I'm planning on it. I don't know if they're planning on it." She even knows what songs she wants to sing. But will it happen? There's nothing set yet, but she wouldn't be a bad pick for a guest star, though the show is reportedly returning to the basics for the upcoming season and staying away from too much glamour. In fact, Ryan Murphy has said that he's focusing more on the main characters instead of bringing in big guest stars. However, could Anne Hathaway still end up appearing later this season? That has yet to be seen, and anything could happen.

However, this season is supposed to be a big one for the students at McKinley, and with some of the characters set to graduate at the end of the year, it does make sense to focus on them more instead of bringing in new guest stars that could take away from one of the storylines. If Anne Hathaway does appear, hopefully it's in a role that is part of one of the students' storyline (perhaps using her idea to play Kurt's lesbian aunt).

Umeji Narisawa's grandchildren got her hooked on the original Nintendo system when she was 73.
According to the Entertainment Software Association, the average gamer is 37 years old. Kids born the day the original Nintendo was released are entering their late 20s, while geeks who whiled away the days with a   Pong machine are storming past 40.

But compared to Umeji Narisawa, we're all just a bunch of babies.

Japanprobe caught up with the 99-year-old gamer, who got hooked on the hobby at the tender age of 73 when her grandkids brought home a copy of the action/puzzle classic Bomberman for the NES (technically the Famicon, the Japanese version of the system.) Narisawa was intrigued, gave it a shot, and has been playing it for several hours a day since.

So what does playing Bomberman every day for 26 years get you? Other than the ability to beat it with your eyes closed and the undying respect of anyone who's every picked up a gamepad, it gets you a few nifty health benefits. Narisawa credits her daily Bomberman sessions with helping keep her mind sharp and her fingers strong enough to still thread needles.
While Narisawa needn't fear competition from too many other 99 year-olds, she might want to keep an eye on John Bates.  The Wisconsin gamer is the current Guinness World Record holder for the Most Perfect Games of Wii Sports Bowling (2,850), though he's a regular spring chicken at a mere 85.

Leona Lewis and her label are being taken to court by a Ministry of Sound producer who says her new single plagiarises one of her tracks.

Swedish DJ Avicii - real name Tim Bergling - says Collide, which was unveiled last month, is a "straight re-recording" of his instrumental Fade into Darkness, which he recorded in October.

The Guardian reported today that the High Court will hear a plea from the dance producer on Monday for an injunction against the release of the X Fcator winner's song, which is due out on September 4.

Bergling alleged that his team denied Simon Cowell's label Syco, which Leona is signed to, use of the track as he was searching for a female vocalist before officially releasing it himself.

A spokesman for Ministry of Sound has said: 'Avicii is an up-and-coming talent; we think he should be given a fair crack at making this record the hit it deserves to be.'

Syco and its parent label Sony have refused to comment on the issue.

But the Bleeding Love singer took to her Twitter last week to say Tim knew about her version before its premiere.

She said: 'With regards to my song, avicii was aware & agreeing publishing splits for himself and his manager (sic).

'When avicii sent his track out to have a song written over it I totally fell in love with this version and i think he's super talented.'

But the Swedish star retaliated, claiming to know nothing of the supposed agreement.

He wrote: 'Thanks for accusing me of lying and speaking on my behalf.

'Since we never met or even spoke, please let me and my manager know who told you that and what confirmation they gave you.'

If the single is a success, the DJ will be due a huge chunk of royalties.

Leona is without doubt the most successful winner of Simon Cowell's reality show.

It catapulted her to the top of the US Billboard, making her the third ever UK female artist to hit the top spot with their American debut hit.

Petula Clark and Sheena Easton were the only other two artists to acheive this, with Downtown in 1965 and Morning Train (Nine to Five) in 1981.

Record label Syco insist the blond decksman is credited as a songwriter on the track, despite his claims he never agreed for Lewis to use it.

The song Berg says was used without his permission is known as Penguin, which he has reportedly been looking for vocalists to collaborate with over the past few months to release the song under stage name Avicii.

Campaigners at "Bra Chain" hoped to hook together over 100 miles of bras in Worcester to raise money for women's charities and beat the current world record of 166,000 linked brassieres, held by Australia.Volunteers, or "hookers," aimed to connect 200,000 bras, but were forced to quit at half that number when the undergarments became tangled in the boxes. "We underestimated the time it would take to get the bras out of their boxes and hooked together - there were bras all over the place," said Launa Walker at Bra Chain.

"It does take a lot of time to assemble bras into a chain and after about nine hours of hooking them up we decided to call it a day," Walker told Reuters.

The organisers say they will attempt another world record bid in the future and are still accepting donations of unwanted bras.

"We are going to try it again -- we've learnt a few tricks of the trade, now all that remains is to set a date," said Walker.

The event was organised in aid of UK women's charities Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the Worcester breast cancer unit and Women's Aid, which supports victims of domestic violence.
